Materials
2 - 1" squares of chipboard
2 - 1 3/4" squares of cover paper
2 - 1/2" squares of cover paper
3 - 1 7/8" squares of paper for pages
1 - 12" length of ribbon (1/8" or 1/4" wide)
1 - bead to fit snuggly over ribbon
    adhesive
 
Directions
1.)  Center 1" sq. chipboard on back of cover paper. Holding chipboard in place, fold edges of cover over chipboard on all sides making a crease (figure 1). Cut each corner adding a slight angle (figure 2 and 3).

2.)  Glue 1/2" square to center of chipboard (figure 4). Glue edges of cover flaps and fold holding for a few seconds until flaps stay down (figure 5).
Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make the second cover.

3.)   Fold 1 piece of 1 7/8" paper in half (figure 6). Turn and fold it in half again. The paper will be folded into 4 quarters (figure 7). Bring the opposite corners together and fold on the diagonal.
Repeat step 3 to make the other 2 pages.
Decorate your pages anyway you'd like or leave blank.

4.)  Fold each page so that the two angled sides fold in and you have a single square when it is collapsed (figure 8).
 
5.)  Match a square side of page one to a square side of page two (figure 9) and glue (figure 10). Match the remaining square side of page two to a square side on page 3 (figure 11) and glue (figure 12).

6.)  Position book covers on the diagonal about 1/2" apart. Center ribbon and glue in place (figure 13).

7.)  Glue the square side of page 1 to the front cover making sure the angled sides of the page fold in as shown (figure 14). Glue square side of page 3 to back cover. Open book to make sure pages aren't glued together.
 
8.)  Add beads to ribbon and pull up to close book. Make knots at ends of ribbon 2" below book. Pull beads down to the knots and make sure you can open your book and turn the pages. Clip ribbon below knots (figure 15). Add jump ring to the top loop.
